|What is "amuse gueule"?||
An ‘amuse gueule’, which is much the same as an ‘amuse-bouche‘ (click on the link for the pronunciation), is a French culinary term for an appetizer or a cocktail snack. It means something to tickle the palate, or literally, to ‘amuse or entertain the mouth’. ‘Gueule’ is an informal word for both ‘mouth’ and ‘face’ in French.
