|What is "Carménère"?||
Carménère is dark red grape variety which originated in Bordeaux, and which has become very popular in Chile. It is very similar to Merlot. It is also known as Grande Vidure.
In Chile, Carménère can be pronounced with a Spanish accent, so I have given both versions.
