What is "Roquefort"?
Roquefort’ is a blue cheese made from ewe’s milk.
The word ‘Roquefort exclusively reserved for cheeses in the Causses area of France – it falls under the ‘appellation d’origine’ laws. Similar cheeses made in other countries may not use this name and are referred to simply as ‘Blue cheese’.
